SCDDC is a private practice, the fees for consultations and endoscopy procedures with Dr Mackender are as below:

 

New Standard Consultation

Consultation fee $360

Medicare rebate $151.90

 

Follow-up standard consultation

Consultation fee $220

Medicare rebate $76.00

New Complex consultations (addressing multiple issues)

Consultation fee $500

Medicare rebate $265.60

 

Follow-up complex consultation Fee

Consultation fee $300

Medicare rebate $133.00

 

** For Pension Card Holders a 10% discount is applied at the time of paying for your billed service.

Fees for procedures

Private procedures will be billed “no gap”.  This means if your private health insurance covers the procedure Dr Mackender’s fees will be covered by your health fund and Medicare and you will have no out of pocket costs. There may be an excess you will be required to pay by your health fund depending on the type of your cover. This excess will only be payable if you are having a procedure at a private hospital. Public hospitals will cover the cost of any excess costs your health fund may charge.

 

If you do not have private health insurance you can pay for procedures to be done privately and prices vary depending on the hospital and the procedure to be carried out.
